Janggan heads

A Janggan head is the perfect kite souvenir from Bali.

The head (in Balinese tapel) of a Janggan kite is exquisitely carved out in Pule wood, a very light-weight kind of wood. Then it is equally exquisitely painted and richly decorated.

The size of the head depends on the wingspan of the Janggan; common sizes of wingspan are 2 meters, 3 meters and 4 meters.
