BaKCEx 2016 had 17 international guests attending a total of 7 different kite competitions from Bali Kite Championships in July to Rockiller in October.

For the group coming a few days early to Sanur International Kite Festival BaKCEx organised a one day Kite Culture Tour:
- Visit to Wayan Duduk, professional maker of Janggan
- Visit to Banjar Danginpeken and the Naga Raja: the largest Janggan (with 11 m wingspan and 234 m long tail)
- Visit to Nyoman Adnyana, the grand seigneur of Bali kites who has travelled to many international kite festivals and is a good friend of many of the BaKCEx participants
- Visit to The Golden Janggan in Celuk
- Visit to kite factory in Celuk
- Dinner at Draknästet, the residence of Andreas Ågren, and the nearby sea salt factory
